  I want to thank everyone at Blue Oaks. When my niece died and I did all the arrangements, they were so nice and easy to deal with. Plus they are not outrageously expensive. They helped with every aspect of the memorial , including flowers and all. I would recommend this place for anyone. Again thank you for your kindness and all the help you gave.

  Rarely do I receive such great service that it moves me to write a commendatory review, but I would be remiss in not acknowledging the outstanding service I and my family received by Gloria and her staff at Blue Oaks Cremation & Burial Services when my step-father passed away recently. My family has a very long-standing relationship with another Roseville funeral home (starts with a C) but I figured it would be in our interest to check into a few other places before simply going with what worked in the past. Through our research, we narrowed our choices down to three places. Initially, price and proximity were the key factors. The three places all posted online a price list for many services which made it relatively easy to make quick comparisons. However, some of the places had not updated their price list in some time. Blue Oaks' information was current so we gave them a call. It was a weekend and we reached Gloria's after-hours answering service. Very shortly afterwards, Gloria called us back and was so helpful, patient, and understanding. She gladly went on speakerphone since we are a big family and we all had many questions. I understand this is a business, but Gloria was so generous with her time late on a weekend, and even answered the same question multiple times as people took notes and missed parts of her initial reply. It was a very easy and human connection. It may be cliche and underappreciated these days, but having someone so thorough in their replies and unrushed in their availability was exactly what we needed during this difficult time. Gloria carried this approach all the way through our interactions with her. It was very refreshing. We called the others on our list and even the "C" place, but none could match Blue Oaks' prices. It really does pay (literally!) to shop around for funeral services. On top of great communication and prices, Gloria was an expert planner and coordinator. She and her caring staff took care of everything and thoughtfully anticipated nearly all of our needs before we even realized they existed. During the preparation stage, my mom had several special requests and Gloria was able to accommodate them. My dad looked great for the viewing. During the service and at graveside, Gloria and her assistant unobtrusively (they were very discreet and hardly seen, however, in hindsight, they were everywhere making everything go smoothly..true marks of absolute professionals) made sure everyone knew what their role was, where they needed to be at certain points of the ceremony and when they needed to be there. Gloria worked very well with all the other leads for the church, memorial service facility, cemetery and gathered family and friends. She simplified our interactions and maximized our time together as a family by being a central point of contact for many of the people listed above. Her counsel and guidance were of very high quality, totally "un-pushy," and much appreciated. I really cannot say enough good things about Gloria, but I hope I have sufficiently conveyed to the reader that I am thoroughly satisfied with all aspects of working with Blue Oaks, and would recommend without hesitation that you place Gloria at the top of your list of people to call when you need burial or cremation services. I believe you will have a similarly excellent experience. Thank you.
